Questions.

What does it cost?

Maintenance starts at $250 a month per site. Maintenance with accessibility and Managed accessibility cost more, and every price is on the pricing page.

Changes and support are $150 an hour, estimated before we start. Larger projects are separate, one-time fixed fees.

See every price
How are changes billed?

By the hour, at $150, estimated before we start: posting a news item you supply, updating a staff page, changing a form or adding a redirect. Larger work, such as design or custom development, is a project at a fixed price.

Can our staff keep updating the site themselves?

Yes. Your staff keep their own logins and keep publishing, and a vendor you already use can work alongside us. Before we start, we put in writing who handles what, including plugins and settings.

Can we keep our current host?

Yes, if it is a managed host whose plan meets the schedule: command-line access, a staging site, individual accounts with multifactor sign-in, automated backups, and 24/7 support. If not, we recommend one that does, such as Kinsta, in your organization’s name, and quote the move first.

The host bills you at its published rates. Hosting is recurring, depends on your traffic, and you choose the plan size.

Read the hosting requirements
Do you work in WordPress and Drupal?

Yes. Leland’s own record is on WordPress, and we also take on Drupal and static sites. On a hosted platform, we tell you what we can and cannot change before you sign.

Does maintenance cover accessibility?

Maintenance with accessibility does: every page checked daily, fixes every month and a quarterly report for your council or counsel. Testing your key tasks with a keyboard and a screen reader is a fixed-price project. An automated score alone does not show that a site meets WCAG.

Accessibility and Title II
Can you add approvals, translations, search or events?

Yes, on tools you already use or standard ones: approval steps that give every public change a named approver and a date, editing screens where staff fill in sections without breaking the layout, translated pages in Spanish and other languages, search across pages and documents, and event registration.

Setup is a fixed price, quoted first, and plugin licenses are billed by their vendors.

Rebuilds and projects
What happens if LFW is unavailable?

Your hosting account and code repository are in your organization’s name from the first day. A written runbook in that repository, updated every month, describes how the site is set up and deployed, so another developer can pick it up. Your host’s support covers the servers around the clock.
