What the free audit can tell you.
Email and HTTPS
Public DNS records and certificate checks can flag configuration risks. They do not prove that email cannot be spoofed or that a site is secure.
Homepage speed and accessibility
Browser measurements capture one page at a point in time. Automated accessibility rules miss issues that require keyboard, screen-reader, and human review.
Files for crawlers
The check also looks for robots.txt, sitemap.xml, security.txt, and llms.txt. A missing file needs context; it is not automatically a broken site or a requirement to add the file.
How are the scores calculated?
The free audit uses the same scoring tools as Monitor on a narrower scope: your homepage. Lighthouse measures performance under simulated conditions; axe-core checks automated accessibility rules. A high score does not establish that every page or interaction works. Missing measurements are not passes.
What should I do with the results?
Start with findings that could stop someone reading, navigating, or contacting you. Confirm the issue on the actual page, agree a fix, then check it again. The free audit is a snapshot; a full audit can investigate more pages and visitor journeys, while Monitor tracks the agreed scope over time.
