Capture method, exports & scope

A private way-back machine for your own site

Every night we capture your key pages twice over: how each one looked, and the code behind it.

So you can pull up exactly how any page stood on any past date, for board records, a compliance question, or the regression nobody can place.

Search everything your site has ever said. Then pull up a complete, browsable copy of the whole thing as it stood on any past date.

It looks closer than a screenshot can

A donate button can look and read exactly the same while quietly pointing somewhere new: the one kind of change a plain visual diff can never catch, because the pixels never move.

Looking Glass checks link destinations directly, not just what a page looks like, so that specific failure gets caught even when nothing visibly changed.

Links whose text marks them as money- or membership-critical get flagged at higher severity when their target moves.

A record, not a remote control

This is a diagnostic archive, not a backup. The difference is worth being precise about. Looking Glass observes your site the way a visitor does, so it can't see anything back-end only: draft content, database rows, configuration. Restoring lost or corrupted content is still a hosting-provider backup matter.

What Looking Glass gives you is the other half of that problem: knowing precisely what changed and when, so fixing it is a five-minute job instead of a guessing game.

Your archive, exportable, always

Every snapshot, every link-change record, and every full-site archive in Looking Glass is a one-click download from your Client Portal: a zip of screenshots, a manifest, and the complete link-change history. Nothing here is a reason to stay if you'd rather leave.

How it works

  • Fully platform-agnostic: it reads your live pages, so it works on any site, hosted anywhere
  • Nightly snapshots of your key pages, both desktop and mobile
  • Full-text search across every version of every page your site has ever published
  • Link-destination checks alongside the visual record
