Replay follows where a visitor is.
In the United States, Replay records a random sample of visits, about one in five, under the regional policy LFW reviewed. In California, the European Union, the United Kingdom and other places where the rule is to ask first, it stays off until a visitor turns it on.
The visitor's location is checked at the Cloudflare edge rather than guessed in the browser. Recordings are kept for a year. Replay never records the client portal, admin or login pages, or private links.
Browser privacy signals still switch every optional service off.
