Public-facing systems. As WordPress Administrator for Arlington County Government, Leland managed more than 40 public websites. At Stand Together, he worked on the in-house team responsible for over 100 WordPress sites.
The WordPress ecosystem. His work includes themes sold through established marketplaces, technical support at LearnDash, and managing the marketing and ecommerce websites for LearnDash, GiveWP, The Events Calendar, and SolidWP at Liquid Web.

- 2007–2013 Founded Theme Lab: WordPress, HTML, and CSS work for clients around the world, alongside a blog of tutorials and standards commentary. Acquired by AwesomeMotive.
- 2013–2016 Agency development in Washington: custom WordPress builds at The Jake Group, then sites and rapid-turn landing pages for candidates, PACs, and political organizations at Targeted Victory.
- 2016–2017 Ran Themetry, a small products company: commercial themes distributed through StudioPress and WordPress.com, and a course teaching Advanced Custom Fields.
- 2017 WordPress Administrator for Arlington County Government: the whole network of 40-plus public-facing sites on AWS, including the update and security-patch cycle.
- 2017–2019 Web developer at Berman and Company, building and maintaining a portfolio of sites on Timber, Sass, and Composer.

Leland was born in Washington and has lived in the District, Maryland, and Virginia his whole life. Arlington is home today.
